| A long time ago, the human race was swiftly conquered by another far more powerful and technologically advanced then their own. After the conquer, the populous was divided. Some humans remained unchanged, other even prospered. But those who opposed the new rule were sent away to prison planet in the worst condition. Soon, the emperor of the empire decided to make example out of the rebels and opposition creatures by making them fight each other to the death, modern gladiators. Worlds of the worst condition were chosen, and the soon to be warriors were trained in the art of modern warfare. Soon, the humans found themselves matched against gene boosted aliens, who were born to kill, and robots, who had no feelings of death. For every human that died, a piece of all other humans died with it. Now, more than a century after the start of the games, the Unreal Tournament is what holds the empire togther.
