| Name: Knife Class: knife Calibre: Knife Power: Medium to high Usefulness: medium Key's hit: you start with it. When worst comes to worst, use your combat knife. Primary attack (slash) isn't every powerful, but you can swing it pretty far and get some decent damage. Secondary attack is where the real meat is. It is 2 hit kill, but 1 hit if in the head. But unfortunately, this gun is only useful when sneaking up on unaware soldiers or as your last resort. My opinion: I don't like the knife very much. Only use it as a stunt or if wanting to run faster. And then i might use them on a bot that can't see me, or a noobe, or just if i feel like it. Otherwise, this weapon i tactically useless. Good model replacement(s): Bayonet knife Name: USP (Universal Tactical Pistol *in german*) Class: Sidearms Calibre: .45 ACP power: moderate usefulness: high key's hit: B, 1, 1 This is the CT's default starting side-arm. It has an attachable silencer, which makes this gun really really useful and just cool for the sake or silenced assassin weapons. Practically this gun is very very accurate, and is a well rounded weapon, with very moderate recoil. My pistol of choice when choosing between another gun and armour. My opinion: The USP is one of the best starting weapons in the game, plus it's the Ct starter, already giving the CT's and advantage. Good model replacement(s): USP with LAM based on the Metal Gear Solid gun of the same name. Name: Glock 18 Class: Sidearms Calibre: 9mm parrabelum Power: low Usefulness: low to medium (varies by preferances and obsesstion) Key's hit: B,1,2 This is the terrorists' default starting weapon. Combined with extremely low cost, and moderate punching power, but even more with the 3 round burst option. While effective in 3 round burst mode, in single shot mode this gun lacks stopping power and accuracy. My opinion: This gun is a great alternative when you switch your primary out, since it has 20 rounds and all. But as a single weapon, it lacks the range and power to be useful on it's own. Good model replacement(s): nice glock pack name: Desert Eagle Class: Sidearms Calibre: .50 AE Power: high Usefulness: good, high penetration power and range, but limited clip and low cyclic rate. Key's hit: B, 1, 3 The desert eagle, always a favorite among terrorists as a first round replacement for their wimpy glocks. Even after you move on after the first round, the desert eagle is still a very good gun, still overpowering most SMG's and matches up with rifles. On the downside, it only hold 7 rounds per clip, holding 35 rounds in reserve, and it fires relatively slowly. On the upside, it is the only pistol that can penetrate walls and crates. A well rounded weapon at a high price. My opinion: Everyone seems to like this gun except for me. I prefer smaller guns w/ tactical advantages as opposed to BFG's that fire big bullets. The only tactical advantage i can think of is it's ability to shoot through boxes and walls. It fires too slowly and has too small a clip size for use as an effective sidearm, so i guess it doesn't really fit anywhere. Good model replacement(s): big beefy Desert Eagle. Comes in two colors as well!! USP match Desert Eagle. Name: P228 Class: Sidearms Calibre: .357 Power: high medium Usefulness: far overlooked, but has high usefulness Key's hit: B, 1, 4 The P228, one of the lease used and most overlooked guns in the game. But when you actually get down to it, it is almost as powerful as the desert eagle, fires much faster, and holds a clip larger than the USP's. It can kill in 3 shots, and can fire those 3 shots faster than the desert eagle can shoot one. A perfect match of power and versatility for the newly introduced riot shield. My opinion: I love this gun. To me this is the best pistol, or one of the 2 best. It's got a great clip size of 13, 3 shot kill ability, and fires really fast. It's accurate too. Unfortunately, barely anyone uses it. I guess they just can't handle this one. Good model replacement(s): A nice berreta replacement Name: FN Five-seven Class: Sidearms Calibre: 5.7mm Power: low Usefulness: Depends on preferance, but very accurate Key's hit: B, 1, 6 Ahh, my favorite sidearm, the Fiveseven. According to the hoards, it was dubbed the least useful gun in the game, a peashooter. But when you get to learn to use it, it is deadly. And it's also great fun killing someone and then mocking them about it. "I ownz j00 wit da fiveseven!!" and then all his/her teammates laugh at them for dying by the "worst gun in the game". Anyway, it's actually very very accurate, and if you get used to it, it is very easy to get headshots with it. Another great match for the riotshield, though it's low power may not match up to other weapons in close combat, it would be ideal for longer range battles. My opinion: My other favorite sidearm, but this is ct only. I just love killing someone with this thing and having them get mocked by the other players. It's pretty weak, but really accurate. And thus i get mucho headshots and it makes up for it's weakness. Teehehehehehe <0br> Good model replacement(s): SV Infinity Name: Dual Berrettas Class: Sidearms Calibre: 9mm Parrabelum Power: medium low Usefulness: not very practical... Key's hit: B, 1, 5 Heh, if you ever wanna go down John Woo style, change your duals' model to the dual golden colts and then blind yourself looking at the sheer volume of gold put on them. Ok, practically these are great guns for those moments when you have a G3 and they have a fast loading TMP. You whip out your duals, which hold 30 rounds, and you blast them. Then again, they might glock you, but that's not my problem. It may hold 30 rounds, but when you've used those up, your reload will take ages. You may as well go down trying to knife them. And you can't use these with the riot shield!!!! Who says you can't hold 2 guns in one hand??? My opinion: Great because they're actually pretty accurate, bad cuz they have a really lond reload time. Great if you go for looks, bad if you get too obssessed with the looks. Good model replacement(s): Golden Colts!! Dual SOCOMS, my current replacement. very stylish Name: M3 Super 90 Entry Class: Shotguns Calibre: 12 guage Power: Extreme at close up, a pin-prick at far out, and everything in between Usefulness: Read above and figure it out ;) Key's hit: B, 2, 1 Da good 'ol pumpy shotgun. Blast their guts out, or...do it again...This is the real deal. Extreme power with a slow rate of fire, the real soldier's weapon. You need to keep your cool, because you'll be seeing all these really fast rapid firing muzzle flashes, and you need to concentrate on firing your slow gun, don't randomly spray, you have 8 rounds... use them wisely... My opinion: Just use when necessary. On most maps, there is no practical use. But for some, and experianced player can own. I personally like this. There is that bad@$$ factor of going "BOOM!" KA TSH!! "BOOM!" KA TSH!! and seeing your enemy fall...and die... Good model replacement(s): The best m3 replacment. And black.... Same as above, but not black. Not as good either Name: XM1014 (M4 super 90) Class: Shotgun Calibre: 12 guage (though doesn't seem to be as powerful as m3...queer...) Power: Read above, same applies here Usefulness: read above and above that, that should cover it. Key's hit: B, 2, 2 This is the CQB ownage gun. Also called the noobe cannon cuz it's a shotgun that's automatic. ie, easy to use and powerful too. But actually, it's a really good gun. You could probably give some great covering fire even from a distance. You would be scared if suddenly 10 bullet holes appeared all around you. And you would be dead if they all hit you in the stomach as well. heh, there's nothing like getting a headshot with a shotgun, especially the m3. My opinion: You can own with this too. I like just opening up on a group of people, or just one, it doesn't matter000, i'll still use all 7 rounds either way. And they'll die either way as well. A very fun gun, but in some maps pretty cheap. Good model replacement(s): Possibly the best XM1014 replacement out there Name: MP5 A5 Class: SMG Calibre: 9mm Parrabelum(jeez, i hate that word!) Power: moderate Usefulness: very very useful Key's hit: B, 3, 1 Your class MP5. It's got the retracting stock, select fire, and those wierd iron sights made by that crazy german company HK. Gamewise though, you wont be able to utilize any of those things, which would have been cool. Going rambo with two mp5's with their stocks retracted....oh the horror...teehehehehehehehe...Anyway, this is the most balanced game in the game. It's got a mix of high-medium accuracy, medium power, and a fairly speedy reload. And combine that with it's low price tag and voila! You've got your prime NOOBE weapon! All in all, this weapon is great for the price watcher, and great for the 1337 hax0r as well. My opinion: Great all around gun, though sometimes it lacks power. I like this gun because it costs little and i don't like to spend masses of money. And also it just feels like power... Good model replacement(s): All 3 mp5k's are good, but i think the 1st is the best. Just personal pref. Green camo MP5 A4 Name: Tactical Machine Pistole (TMP) Class: SMG Calibre: 9mm Parrabelum (*grumbles) Power: Low Usefulness: Depends on preferance, though the general consensus is that this gun sux. Key's hit: B, 3, 2 This is a real man's weapon. It may take 10 chest shots to kill, but if you can do it, the person you killed is going to be the laughing stock of the server. Well, not really. That spot's reserved for uber 1337 scout snipas. Er-hrm. This gun has one of the highest rates of fire, but it sacrifices for accuracy. This gun was definitly not designed for those large out-door maps like awp_map or dust. Though it may serve useful in cs_militia. Unfortunately, you can't go akimbo rambo mode with these either. How unfortunate. My opinion: You won't feel any power while firing this gun. Nope. But if you do, you'll probably do a good job of disgracing someone. I simply like this gun because nobody uses it, and it's the least expensive SMG. But it fires sooo insanely fast, you'll probably use up all your ammo really fast. So use that money you saved to buy some pistol ammo. Good model replacement(s): Two really good mp5k replacements. Bottom one is better Name: ES P90 Class: SMG Calibre: 5.7mm Power: high medium Usefulness: very useful and well suited to most any situation. Key's hit: B, 3, 3 The SMG who might take out a rifleman head-on. This thing's got a 50 round mag and some armour piercing capabilities, but is high powerd small bullet. It also looks funny. On the downside, it's fairly inaccurate, but most people can make up for that with the method called "spray and pray" and you'll have a lot of time to pray with that 50 round mag of yours. Plus, when the enemies firing off their pistol, you've still got 20 whole rounds of automatic fire! My opinion: This is a really fun gun and my favorite SMG. You can't even see all the possibilities of a fully automatic 50 round smg that looks like a board. It doesn't even have a handle. But aside from funny looks, this gun isn't that accurate. But who cares? Spill 50 rounds and you'll be bound to hit someone! It's also just fun to shoot. It sounds very powerful and it is indeed extremely powerful. I CQB, it will own with it's extremely high cyclic rate, and it's extremely large clip. Good model replacement(s): The original model for this gun is actualy the best model, suprisingly. But if you insist, here are some others. Visualy souped up P90, but nothing special Seburo P90...it's original.... Name: Ingram Industries: Mac-10 Class: SMG Calibre: .45 ACP Power: medium Usefulness: Low cost, and fair game in cqb, good, but most people hate it Key's hit: B, 3, 4 TIME FO DA BIG MAC ATTACK!!! hehe, or by most players, the wimpy gun that you buy ammo in less than half clips. Yes, it's annoying, 25 bux for 12 bullets and the mags are 25 rounds. that purely sux. But aside from that, if you are in cqb, this thing may own. It has a very high rate of fire, extremely terrible accuracy, but it fires .45 rounds. You might even own with this gun if you're lucky. My opinion: Ok, this gun sucks, but it's really fun to play with. I just enjoy spraying all 25 rounds really really fast to waste someone. If they aren't dead yet, they'll keep their head down. 25 rounds in 1.5 seconds is a very fast gun. Though just about completely impractical, since the gun is inexpensive, but the ammo is really expensive, this is simply a fun gun to play with. Good model replacement(s): MP5k replacement. Probably the best out there. Simply a visual soup up, nothing special, but you can tell the difference Name: UMP (Universale Machine Pistole) Class: SMG Calibre: .45 ACP Power: lil more than the mp5 Usefulness: erm...not too bad... Key's hit: B, 3, 5 The MP5's big brother. More powerful, less accurate, and fires as fast as a sloth eats. It has the lowest cyclic rate of any gun in this game. A garand would be better. On the upside, it packs more of a punch, and equalizes with the MP5 with that, but it still costs more, driving most people not to buy it. My opinion: This gun's fun too, but it's pretty ugly. It fires really slow too. And it sux. It's ammo is very expensive as well, and it still sux. cuz it's pretty inaccurate, fires slowly, is more expensive than a MP5, and it's ammo is expensive. I generally stay away from this one. Good model replacement(s): Rifles As of cs 1.6, the buy menus are now dependant on the team you are on. "T" before a set of keys means terrorist menu, and "CT" means Counter-terrorist menu. Name: Galil Class: Rifles Calibre: 5.56mm Power: medium high Usefulness: very very useful Key's hit: T B, 4, 1 New in 1.6, this thing costs less than an AK47, uses the round of an M4, and has the largest clip of any rifle. I like to say that this is probably the most unbalanced thing in the game. It's great if you have one, but it sux when the whole opposing team has these thins. These things pack the punch of an M4, are as accurate as the m4 as well, and they have a 35 round clip. I hope they balance this for the sake of this game. But it's a great weapon, what can I say? My opinion: This gun is really really good. It's got a nice unbalance of both extreme power, extreme rate of fire, and extreme durability. It's like an m4 on stimulants that costs less. And i'm not saying that this is fair, beacuse it isn't. They better change this, because it is tilting every game in the terrorist's favor. Good model replacement(s): Name: FAMAS (a bunch of french words, Fusil d'automatique de la machiner...something something...) Class: Rifles Calibre: 5.56mm Power: medium high Usefulness: Very useful Key's hit: CT B, 4, 1 The Ct's answer to the ak47 and galil, the cheap rifle. On the upside, it's accurate and cheap. On the downside, it holds 25 rounds and the galil overpowers it, overwhelms it, and costs less. But the FAMAS is just a great gun, accurate and power mixed in a nice bullpup design. My opinion: Though great, the Galil shadows this gun. This would be a great gun, but the galil of course is more powerful, bigger clipped, just as accurate, and is financially easier to get. But the FAMAS is still great, no matter what anyone says (they're just jealous of losing). You just have to keep your aim consistant and conserver your shots, you only have a 25 round clip. Good model replacement(s): Name: AK-47 Class: Rifles Calibre: 7.62mm Power: high Usefulness: very useful Key's hit: T B, 4, 2 The good ol' Kalashnikov. Not the least expensive rifle anymore, but it trades off with it's 7.62mm round, and after much debate, is actually pretty accurate. The debate was whether to consider easy-to-contol recoil to count as accuracy. And the recoil is very predictable, so it's easy to simply control it, making this gun actually pretty accurate. My opinion: This is a nice gun. Smaller clip than Galil, but more powerful, lighter weight, and to me, more accurate. This gun you could practically snipe with. It's recoil is extremely predictable, and very controllable as well. More powerful too, i favor this above the Galil. Good model replacement(s): M-14 replacement. This is most definitely the best ak47 replacement. Name: M4A1 Class: Rifles Calibre: 5.56mm Power: medium high Usefulness: very useful Key's hit: CT B, 4, 2 Probably the most used weapon in the game. The M4A1 combines an accuracy/power tradeoff. Or, Tom Clancy/Rambo tradeoff. You can use it regularily, it gives you high power shots. Or you can snap on the silencer and give you still high power shots, just not as powerful. But the gun is more accurate and no one can hear you....*roll twilight-zone music* doo doo doo doo doo My opinion: Extremely good all purpose gun. Leans a little towards CQB, but with it's silencer on, it is an all purpose weapon. It has very nice accuracy, but it's recoil isn't very predictable. Thus firing in long bursts is very innacurate. It's one of the best guns in the game, especially because if you have a USP silenced and an M4 silence...you can go ninja mode... And if it's an open map with a lot of people, not many people will notice you because of your lack of muzzle flash and very quiet sound. Good model replacement(s): Black Hawk Down style M4. Desert Camo, best m4 replacement. Very nice remake of the black normal m4. But it's really souped up...really Name: Sg552 Commando Class: Rifles Calibre: 5.56mm Power: medium high Usefulness: very useful Key's hit: T B, 4, 3 With the power of an m4, and zoom-in capability, this is one great gun for the terrorists. Unfortunately, when you zoom in, it doesn't give you that much of an accuracy bonus. Your first shot will be on mark, but the next few will hike it up a few feet. In other words, no *real* auto- sniper for you! My opinion: Eh, copy of the M4 that's louder and has a scope. Don't fire fully automatic. It could result in fatal consequences if you do. I'm serious. ;) Good model replacement(s): G36c replacement (really good) Low quality, but great concept for a great G36 Name: Steyr Aug Class: Rifles Calibre: 5.56mm Power: high Usefulness: EXTREMELY VERY VERY UBER USEFUL!! Key's hit: CT B, 4, 3 This is the real man's rifle. It's got this uber leet zoom-in mode and it slows down your rate of fire and really gives you great accuracy zoomed in. But, unzoomed this gun is still very very very accurate. This is my weapon of choice. Fine, so the stinger is, but then it's the AUG. My opinion: My favorite gun in the whole entire game. I can't say enough how much this gun rocks. It's extremely accurate unzoomed, which is great for any situation. Plus, it's extremely accurate while zoomed in. You can snipe with this gun, if you shoot semi-automatically. And if you shoot fully automatically from medium or closer range, you can still be extremely accurate. It's just really great anywhere, and can server any purpose. Whether it be support, this gun is fully automatic with a 30 round clip, sniper, or just assaulter, in cqb or long range, this gun will always be strong. Good model replacement(s): M4A1 RIS with a scope. Good, but feels a little flimsy The top one is for AUG. Extremely high quality. Very nice Name: Steyr Scout Class: Rifles (sniper) Calibre: 7.62mm Power: Medium high Usefulness: To me, it's leet, to everyone else, it's a pinprick Key's hit: B, 4, 5 This is the real sniper rifle. Aside from awp-whore's, there is only the scout. Ok, there are those auto snipers, but they're a disgrace and i won't talk about them. It may take two shots to kill, but that just adds to the skill needed to nail someone with this thing. Once you kill someone with this th0000ing, be sure to mock them ;) My opinion: It costs less than almost all the rifles, and it fires fairly quickly, and it's really light weight. It's the scout. The weak sniper rifle that takes 2 shots to kill, and it is also the only sniper that requires real skill. If you ever find a scout sniper, that it a real sniper, not some poser noobe awp-whore, but that's a real sniper. This is also my sniper rifle of choice, if not the aug, because it's not cheap as a weapon, and it's silenced. People from the other side of the map won't know that you just hit someone, and it's hard for someone to trace your location. It's just great, and it will amaze people if you can master this. Good model replacement(s): M-24 SOCOM my current Scout. REALLY good Kar98. Default quality, but it ain't silenced Name: Arctic Warefare Magnum (AWM) Class: Rifles (sniper) Calibre: .338 Lapua Power: EXTREMELY UBER LEETLY SUSPICOUSLY HIGH! Usefulness: Depends if you're honourable or an idiot. Key's hit: B, 4, 6 The idiots weapon. Cheapo one-shot kill weapon. Called the mother of all unbalancers. People who use them a lot are called "Awp-whore's", or "Ned" cuz he's an idiot who is a major Awp-whore, but he sux. And that's the way with Awp-whores, the gun is easy to use, but hard to master. People who get a kick outta 4 kills from 40 shots still call themselves Awp-whores, but they suck...like ned.... My opinion: Blah blah blah, loaded with .388 lapua super magnum bullets that will blow apart limbs on impact, and it makes you slow as a mule. It will slow you down, makes a noise that's as loud as a nuclear bomb, and it will produce a muzzle flash that is viewable from the moon. Also a cheap weapon that's expensive. Of course, that's why so many "snipers" use this weapon a lot. ha Good model replacement(s): Very nice, extreme quility AW-50 model A M82 Barret with a bolt. Not too bad, nothing that special, though Name: G3SG1 (HK G3 sniper modified) Class: Rifles (sniper) Calibre: 7.62mm Power: high Usefulness: *cough* sux *cough* Key's hit: T B, 4, 7 The 20 round auto sniper! all right! let's give it up! cuz that's just what you're gonna be doing once you experiance this gun, give it up. It's got the power of a scout(two shot kills) and automatic capability. Though if you fire automatically, ur accuracy will suck. This gun sux anyway tho. My opinion: Not too bad a gun. Good power, but it will slow you down. One plus is that it doesn't completely render you vulnerable in cqb, 20 rounds is perfectly suited to blasting up the "center" of your screen. But this gun sux overall. Too expensive for it's own good, and not powerful enough, and heavy and just a burdon and an ineffective weapon. Good model replacement(s): Fire Arms M82 Barret. Comes in two flavors! Name: SG550 Class: Rifles (sniper) Calibre: 5.56mm Power: Medium high Usefulness: This gun's alright...though not very practical... Key's hit: CT B, 4, 8 The Ct's auto sniper...basically, this is the same as the G3, except more accurate, kills in 3 rounds, and holds 30 rounds. It sux, unless you've trained on this for years. My opinion: It's better than the G3, that's for sure. And it costs less too. It may take 3 shots to kill, but it's more durable and versatile, and it can be effectively utilized as an assault weapon. Good model replacement(s): HK PSG-1 replacement. My current and very best out there Name: M-249 PARA Class: Machine Guns Calibre: 5.56mm Power: medium Usefulness: This gun sux Key's hit: B, 5, 1 This gun sux. It's unrealistic, it's rate of fire sux, and it is really innacurate. This makes me question the claim that the creators made about modeling these after realistc guns. My opinion: Erm...it's good...i guess...if you want to shoot a target...a stationary target...from 2 feet away...Ok, it sux, it's extremely expensive, and incredibly inaccurate. And it fires really really slowly. Really slowly....and it isn't even very powerful either. Good model replacement(s): Big M-249 with stock and some camo, really nice as well.
